The Biologist (Annihilation Mock Up Concept art)

My interpretation of the biologist's final form if she ever made it to the screen. I used the text from Jeff Vandermeer's Acceptance to design her, working off animals like salamanders, turtles and whales and the human skeleton to come to this final look. I imagine she spends a lot of time on the ocean floor acting as a rock pool, letting creatures cover her back. Her fins trail out beyond the reaches of the human eye.
